Orgelfrühling Steiermark 2019
From the "Grand Inquisitor" on May 3 in Graz to "The Holy Sinner" on June 20 in Stainz, the Orgelfrühling Steiermark Festival 2019 traveled through Styria for seven weeks, presenting the organ, from its roots to the modern E-organ, in combination with drama and movement theater, in solo recitals, chamber music and orchestral concerts, with first and world premieres in all imaginable facets.
The '4D Orchestra' (4D – Orchester Steiermark) debuted in Graz, Leoben and Weiz under the direction of Gunther Rost, with newly arranged key works by Johann Sebastian Bach.
The 2019 festival program included five centuries of music history and a thousand years of literary history, several premieres and world premieres, and a colorful program from various artistic disciplines.
