Herz-Jesu Church
The Herz-Jesu Church in Graz is a central venue and the cradle of the Orgelfrühling festival:
In 2011 Gunther Rost took over as artistic director the annual concert series "Orgelfrühling in Herz-Jesu" and developed it into a statewide festival in the following years.
The magnificent, neo-Gothic brick building houses one of the most valuable historic organs in Styria, built at the end of the 19th century by the Walcker company and recently restored by the Rieger company, also through the initiative of Orgelfrühing Steiermark.
